Press Release
Sep 30, 1999Janet England Joins Kathleen Hessert's Corporate and Sports Firm;
CHARLOTTE, NORTH CAROLINA (September 30,1999)- Kathleen Hessert, the nationally known communications consultant and President of Communication Concepts and Sports Media Challenge, announced today that Janet England is joining the organization as Vice President. Many Carolinians know England as a former television news anchor for both WSOC-TV and WBTV. Besides more than two decades of media experience, Janet also brings a strong corporate background after heading the communications division of the Nalle Clinic.
"I wanted a right hand strategist working with me as our corporate and sports clientele continues to dramatically expand," explains Hessert. "Janet brings invaluable experience and integrity to our growing training and consulting organization. Together our growing team will develop new strategic communication training products and services that integrate the highest quality personal communications with cutting edge technology. There are millions of brilliant ideas tossed around then lost in business and sports today. Communication Concepts helps people develop the skills and strategies to make those ideas reality."
For fifteen years, Kathleen Hessert has developed Communication Concepts into a powerhouse training and consulting company for top executives, middle management and sports personalities and organizations. The client list is a who's who of the corporate and sports world including among others, KPMG, Milliken & Company, Bank of America, Seagram, Springs Industries, ESPN, and NASCAR.
Sports Media Challenge is a separate division that was developed specifically to handle the growing sports market. Clients include the NFL, NIKE, Quarterback, Peyton Manning, the PGA Tour, Olympian Dan Jansen, as well as collegiate sports programs like the Universities of Notre Dame, Maryland and Tennessee.
"Powerful communication strategies prepare organizations and people to win in any environment," says England. "Corporate leaders and sports personalities have a tremendous influence and it will be a privilege to work with them to forge better ways to talk to each other, the public and communities they represent." England's understanding of the fundamental character of the Carolinas, coupled with her passion for helping organizations give roots to creative thought will be an invaluable asset to the company, as will her twenty years of award winning broadcast journalism experience.
Three other associates Deborah Alexander, Paul Homoly, and Francine Berger have also been added as training associates for Communication Concepts/Sports Media Challenge during the past year and will continue to play significant roles in the companies expansion projects. Communication Concepts/Sports Media Challenge is headquartered in Charlotte. The company develops communication training and consulting products including software and on-line training, crisis communication services, corporate communication planning, media training, speech writing and coaching. Media interviews are also available on communication strategy topics. The BBC, FOX News, CNBC, CNN and national print publications often use Kathleen Hessert and her associates as expert spokespeople. Hessert is the author of several communication products including the Coach's Communication Playbook recently purchased by the NFL, NIKE , and major universities for their coaches.
